Rehydrate Your Skin!

Aside from being unattractive, dryness and roughness is a sign of unhealthy skin. This may affect the way the skin is supposed to protect the entire body and to regulate the body’s temperature. Dry skin may be caused by insufficient water intake, strong soaps, staying in air-conditioned rooms and even stress.

Drinking enough water, about six to eight glasses every day and eating a balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables is the best way to rehydrate parched skin. Avoid using soaps that are too harsh on your skin. If possible, use a soap that is pH balanced and apply a moisturizing body lotion or emollient cream after bathing.

To have healthy and fresh-looking skin, it is also important to have enough sleep. The body regenerates cells during slumber. Reduce intake of liquids that induce frequent urination; these include tea, coffee and alcoholic beverages. Keep your skin clean and always remove make-up before retiring to bed.

Exercise also aids in rejuvenating skin by enhancing blood circulation and boosting oxygen supply.

Giving the best possible care for your skin now does not just build up a healthy and beneficial routine; it also guarantees radiant, wrinkle-free skin even as you grow older.
